Meet the Tutors
Jane Clark
Jane is the Technical Editor of Australia’s leading cardmaking magazine, Cardmaking, Stamping and Papercraft. Specialising in stamping and techniques, Jane loves to teach classes and share ideas. She writes regular articles including ‘The Classroom’ – an indispensable feature for cardmakers of all levels.
Lynette van Barrelo
Lynette has been scrapbooking for around four years which led her to photography. She loves introducing lumpy, bumpy layouts, adding plenty of dimension and absolutely adores the look that old, antique lace gives to everything. She likes roughing it up and will embrace shabby at every opportunity. She is widely published and was Scrapbooking Memories Master for 2008.
Sara Pearcy
Sara is a professional photographer with Sassi Photography. She has had a camera in her hand for nearly thirty years. She specialises in babies, children and family portraiture, as well as Photoshop and photo manipulation. As a past Scrapbooking Memories Phototech writer, Sara has written about many aspects of photo imaging and always has lots of tips and tricks.
Ngaire Bartlam
A veteran Australian mixed media artist and scrapbooker, Ngaire has authored two books: Lumpy Bumpy and It’s All About YOU. Ngaire loves using lots of vintage finds and fabrics, texture and embellishment, and likes to have fun with her classes which are all about enjoying the process as well as loving the end result.
Jill Geraghty-Groves
Jill has been enjoying papercrafts since November 2005. Jill is currently on the Design Team for Tarisota Collections, Darkroom Door and is a Prima Verified tutor. She has been published in many of the Australian scrapbooking, cardmaking and paper craft magazines, as well as some US and UK publications.
Nicole Farrell
Nicole adopted the name “Craft Queen” through years of craft experience. She enjoys both scrapbooking and card making and has built a successful business based on this interest. Nicole’s work has been published in several of Australia’s scrapbooking magazines.
Petrina McDonald
A decade of scrapbooking experience has seen Petrina published in many Australian scrapbooking magazines and featured on several covers. A long time member of the Craft Queen design team, she is a lover of ribbon and all things crafty. With a background in visual arts and education, Petrina has an eye for detail and knowledge of design which she enjoys passing on to others.
Mandi Lee Klinger
Mandi Lee is a Copic Certification Instructor, a graphic designer and a qualified art teacher. She is also an avid scrapbooker, stamper and lover of Copic Markers. Mandi enjoys experimenting with a variety of Copic techniques and teaching Copic workshops whilst sharing her ideas through her blog at copicme.blogspot.com.
Stacey Rigby
Stacey is the mother of three boys and often finds herself challenged by the bombardment of feminine frillys in the market. She loves off-the-page projects and enjoys giving handmade cards. She’s been a design team member and guest designer previously and now co-owns Scrapapple, an online papercraft store.
Nina Granzien
Nina has been papercrafting since 2002. She also creates various off-the-page projects, mini albums and cards. She enjoys simple objects like patterned papers, embellishments, paint, inks, and stamps. She is currently part of the Scrapapple and Buzz & Bloom design teams. She’s been published in Scrapbooking Memories and Scrapbook Creations.
Sarah Gladman
Sarah is a visual arts and photography teacher from the Hunter Valley, NSW. She tends to her blog, Leonardo’s Apprentice which offers online tips and techniques for scrapbooking, stamping and photography. Her work is published in Scrapbooking Memories, Scrapbook Creations, Cardmaking and Papercraft and Somerset Memories magazines. Sarah currently represents Addicted to Craft Wholesale and is a Scrapbooking Memories Master for 2010.
Angella Peardon
Angella is the design team coordinator for Addicted to Craft, design team leader for Manufacturer Scrap within Reach and is also with Scrapbook Creations colour team. She’s published in Scrapbook Creations and Scrapbooking Memories magazines. Angella’s style is shabby whimsical.
Kellie Lusted
Kellie doesn’t tie herself to one set style but tends to use anything she can get her hands on! She is a Scrapbooking Memories Master for 2010 and is on the design team for Addicted to Craft and Buzz and Bloom. Kellie finds scrapbooking a wonderful and fulfilling craft.
Melissa Kennedy
Melissa works for Kaisercraft as their Creative Director and part of the design team. She is a past Scrapbooking Memories Master and has taught at expos, conventions and workshops both in Australia and overseas, more recently on a cruise ship.
Alison Hannah
Alison has been working at Kaisercraft for two years. “Scrapbooking for a living and creating layouts and projects for the magazine is fulfilling and lots of fun!” She completed a Photoshop course last year and really loves being able to edit and play around with photos for her layouts.
Alison Wood
Alison was introduced to scrapbooking through Creative Memories and works at Kaisercraft as their Marketing Manager. Alison has been published in Australian Scrapbooking Memories, Scrapbook Creations (Aust) and Scrap N Art Ezine.
Lynette Carroll, USA
Lynette Carroll, from Boston, USA, has taught at conventions throughout the USA, Australia, Japan and Holland as part of her position on design teams for K&Company, Delish Designs and Como Cricket. Her work has featured in magazines including PaperCrafts, PaperWorks, Cards, PaperTrends, Scrapbook Creations, Creative Paper and Scrapbook Trends. Lynette is a member of the 2010 Creative Artist Team for EK Success brands, K&Company, Martha Stewart Crafts, Inkadinkadoo and Dimensions.
Lorraine Bate
Lorraine Bate has been a scrapbooker for sixteen years and teaching for the last fourteen. Well known in the industry, she is the face of Scrapbook Creations Masterclass DVD’s. Lorraine has a fun sense of humour and a quick wit. Her talents and teaching skills have taken her around the world.
Kim Gavarra
Kim started stamping eleven years ago and has taught classes for seven years including scrapbooking and off the page projects. When Stampin’ Up! was launching in Australia she jumped at the opportunity to join them and has since taught classes and run regular scrapping and stamping events. Kim has been a part of the Top 25 Australian Demonstrators each year.
Andrea Thompson
Andrea has been a photographer for 19 years, specialising in children and family portraiture. She was reluctant to move into digital photography but now a whole new world has opened up. She discovered scrapbooking eight years ago and already has many achievements: she’s a Scrapbooking Memories Master and has been published in many magazines. Andrea brings a fresh style to her work and teaching.
Fiona Carson
Fiona Carson is a funky photographer from Brisbane. She takes creative photos of pregnant women and squishy, curly newborns. She also excels at getting toddlers to look at the camera and capturing fun, family photos.
Melissa Mielekamp
With a background in studio photography, Mel is now an on-location portrait photographer. Her knowledge of photo imaging and enhancement bring uniqueness and intrigue to her images. Mel is the founder of Point Shoot Play, a business begun due to the need for more accessible tutoring in digital photo processing. www.pointshootplay.com
